I'll just say it now. My sister is amazing. Last year, Viewmont got a new club sport: Girl's Lacrosse. Aly randomly decided that she wanted to play. If you know Aly at all, this was most shocking. She is all girly girl. She loves fashion, music, princesses.....he dream vacation is Disneyland and she lives in fairy tale land. In a list of things to describe her, I would not have listed sports as something on that list.

But that all changed last year. Viewmont only had a JV team to start out with, and they did amazing. Most of these girls had never played before and they played amazing. Aly turned into a completely different person. She decided to play again her Senior year, and I am so proud of her. She was one of the three captains this year and I know many of the younger girls looked up to her. She was a great captain, a great player, and a great friend. This season was amazing for Viewmont. They went to Varsity and we were all skeptical about how well they were going to do, and we weren't expecting a great season. Many of the teams they were playing had much more experience and had been around a lot longer. Boy were we wrong! They played AMAZING all year long, and Aly gained so much skill. They were undeafeted in their division and they became Region Champs after defeating Davis. This took them to the State Championship! They played Waterford up at Park City last Saturday. It was a perfect day. The game was very intense and neck and neck the entire time. Definately the toughest game they played all year. In the end, Waterford won the State Title. Viewmont girls did great, and I am so PROUD of Aly.
