4 months!

Liam is 4 months old! I know I say this every month, but time is just flying by! He is so much fun, and I just love hanging out with him every day! We went in for his appointment last month and I was pretty sure that he had reached the 12 pound mark. Here are his stats:

Weight: 11 lbs 4 oz ( 5%)

Height: 24 3/4 inches ( 40%)

Head: 16 inches (20%)

So he missed the 12 pound mark. He is such a little guy! He has fallen down into the 5th percentile and his Dr really wants us to work on getting his weight up. I am trying to nurse him more often, but my body is having a hard time keeping up. It's actually been really frustrating. I think I'm doing a little better on getting my supply back up to where it needs to be, but it's just been really declining lately, which like I said, is super frustrating.

But enough about that, here is some things that Liam can do at 4 months old!

* He Loves to talk!

* He loves to smile and give us little giggles, we are still working on getting a full on laugh. I try so hard, that I must look absolutely ridiculous, but I am so close!

* He is now splahing in the water when he has baths and talks to me the whole time.

* He loves getting his diaper changed, I find that really weird.

* He is a little Houdini. He has to be swaddled to sleep, if he isn't he just doesn't sleep and it is awful. Unfortunately, since this kid is ALWAYS moving he wiggles his way out of a swaddle before the night is over. I have tried many ways to remedy this.
Here is one way that I found him in the morning:

He looks ridiculous, and I was just glad that he didn't strangle himself. So after this happened, we tried a night not swaddling him. Wow. Let's just say that didn't work. It was probably the worst night since he was born! haha. So the solution now? He gets swaddled in one blanket, and that is safety pinned. Then he gets swaddled in another and that also gets safety pinned. Then, yes, one more blanket to secure everything. Don't worry, they are thin blankets and he has a fan in his room to keep him cool enough. We've done this for four nights now, and two of the night, he has been able to get out of that swaddle too! I've got an escape artist on my hands!
*He can roll over from his stomach to his back, although he doesn't do it often.

* He can grab his toes, and he is FASCINATED with them. He almost has them in his mouth.

* He loves to grab anything and everything! My hair, my phone, my nose, my eyes, my food!

He is such a fun little guy and we can't wait to see what he learns next!
