Re-living the "Glory Years". Just kidding. This past summer Conor and his friends played basketball in a Rec League out at the Franklin Covey building. They had a really good run and were undefeated. It was really fun to go out every Tuesday night and watch them play. It was nice for all of us. Conor got to play and exercise and be with friends. I got girl time with the wives, Laura, Christine, and Michelle. Liam got more sports exposure, and boy does this little guy love his sports. He would sit completely still all by himself and watch the boys go up and down the court. He really followed the game. THe whole season was really a cake walk, with the boys easily winning every game. They kept complaining that they wanted a challenge. Well in the championship game, a challenge is what they got. With about 2 mins left they were down 14 points. Amazingly they came back with a bunch of awesome 3 pointers to tie the game. The game ended up going into double overtime, and they won by one point at the buzzer, with my dear hubby on the floor for a rebound. It was great., and even better.....the huge trophy and T-shirts they got. I love that we also got them to pose for all sorts of pictures. It reminded me of Jr Jazz with 8 year olds. haha.
Dad showing Liam the trophy. He was VERY intrigued.
Victory shot, the team holding the trophy!
